<What about Sakura-tai?>
Sakura-tai is a traveling theater troupe that existed during World War II.
They were victims of the Hiroshima atomic bombing.
They were staying in Hiroshima for their next performance.
Actors and crue, consisting of nine were there.
On 6th August 1945, U.S.forces dropped the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima.
A single bomb killed an estimate of 140,000 people due to the heat ray, blast, flame and radiation.
Sakura-tai were located 750 meters from Ground Zero.
Five women were killed instantly.
Sadao Maruyama, Keiko Sonoi, Shozo Takayama and Midori Naka
survived that day.
But they were exposed to lethal amount of radiation.
They are said to have died tragically due to the atomic bomb disease
where they fled for refuge.
All Sakura-tai members deceased by the end of the month.
We want to raise our voice.
They died.
Let us rephrase, they were killed.
